Mental Space Motivation for Anaphora and Exphora

Mental space theory (MST), as an important theory in cognitive linguistics is a universal cognitive theory. And it can help greatly in explaining the dynamics, random and vague cognitive process. This paper tries to use this theory to explain how direct and indirect anaphora and exphora work in a discourse.
